Community Guidelines

Community Guidelines

Thank you for being part of our Mobility Action Learning Network community. To ensure the best possible experience for all members, we have established these Community Guidelines for participation.

We are excited to co-create this space with you to share your experience and expertise, and participate in peer conversations about your local upward mobility work.

Urban will moderate content on this platform in accordance with the Community Guidelines. The criteria for content approval will include relevance to the community's focus, adherence to respectful dialogue, and promotion of constructive engagement. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership in this community for anyone who violates these rules.

By joining and using this community, you agree that you have read and will follow the Community Guidelines below. If you have questions, please contact the network manager Jesús Guzmán (jguzman@urban.org).

Honor our Community Agreements

  1. Together we know a lot, alone we don’t know it all.

  2. Do your best, be curious, and respectful.

  3. Uphold what’s confidential, what we learn – leaves here, what we say – stays here.

  4. Lean into discomfort, it’s how we grow.

  5. Take space, make space.

  6. Honor and respect each other’s identities, thoughts, and expertise.

  7. Build and work to uphold trust, while holding one another accountable.

  8. Lead with respect and consideration.

  9. Celebrate a diversity of perspectives with open-mindedness and foster spaces for vulnerability.

  10. Practice active-listening and a culture of curiosity while staying present.

Online Rules of Conduct

  1. Respect others. Focus on the content of posts and not on the people making them.

  2. Please extend the benefit of the doubt to other members; there’s no such thing as a silly question.

  3. All defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, or illegal materials are strictly prohibited.

  4. Posts that include business promotion, affiliate links, links to purchase a product, or other items that provide the poster with financial gain are not permitted.
